From your bank's payment alert to your ledger, once you say yes
When your bank or wallet app posts a payment alert, Masareefy asks: “Paid 450 EGP at Carrefour?”. Tap the question and the add sheet opens with the amount, the shop and the date; nothing is recorded until you tap Save.

At a glance
Apps you choose
Your bank, wallet or messages app; no other app's notifications are opened.
Stays on your phone
The alert's text is read on the phone and never sent to us or to any AI model.
Nothing without you
The alert only asks; nothing is recorded until you check it and tap Save.
No bank link
The app never asks for your bank login and never connects to your account.
One question for each payment alert it recognises
Most banks and wallets in Egypt and the Gulf send an alert for every payment, yet logging the expense is still a step you put off and then forget. Turn on Notice payment alerts and Masareefy notices the payment alert when it reaches your phone, and shows you one question with the amount and the shop as the bank wrote them.
Tap it and the usual add sheet opens with the amount, the shop name and the date the alert arrived; pick a category, change anything you like, and save. If the alert is not clear enough to fill in the amount, the sheet shows the alert's own words so you can type the price yourself.

Turning on payment alerts, step by step
Open Categories & preferences
In Masareefy for Android open the ≡ menu, then Categories & preferences, and turn on Notice payment alerts.
Read what it does, then agree
A Before you turn this on sheet shows what the app reads and what it never sends, then Android asks you to allow notification access.
Choose the apps
Switch on your bank, wallet or messages app under Choose apps. Known banks and wallets are listed first, and nothing is chosen unless you choose it.
Tap the question when it comes, then Save
After a payment the question arrives; tap it, check the sheet and save. If it was not a purchase, swipe the notification away.

What it asks about, and what it ignores
The app asks about payments only. One-time codes, cash withdrawals, salary, refunds and money received never become a question; a transfer to a person does, so you decide. When the app recognises a repeated alert for the same payment, it does not ask again.
On newer Android versions the phone may hide the text of some bank alerts from other apps. When Masareefy notices that, it tells you on the settings page and points you to turning off Enhanced notifications.
The feature is in Masareefy for Android only, stays off until you turn it on, and can be turned off at any time on the same page.

Questions about payment alerts
Does the app see my messages?
It reads only the notifications of apps you choose yourself; if you choose your messages app, its notifications are read on your phone and never sent to us. While the feature is off, no notification is read.
Is a payment recorded without me tapping Save?
No. The alert only asks and opens the add sheet with the amount and the shop; nothing is recorded until you tap Save.
Does it work with every bank?
It works with any app you choose. Known banks and wallets in Egypt and the Gulf are listed first, and others are read in a general way: if the amount is unclear it asks without one, and if it is unclear that it was a payment it does not ask.
Does the alert's text reach Masareefy's servers?
No. The alert is read on your phone; the only thing that reaches us is the purchase you save yourself.
Is it available on iPhone or on the web?
No, the feature is in Masareefy for Android only.
Why does the question sometimes not arrive?
Android may stop the app to save battery, or hide the alert's text on newer versions. The settings page shows when the app last noticed a payment alert and points you to what you can change.
Log what you paid when the bank's alert arrives
Turn on payment alerts in the Android app, choose your bank or wallet app, and check every payment before you save it.
