Your spending in Tunisia, week by week
Note what you pay in dinars without linking a bank account, and check Safe to spend to see what is left for this week.

Typed, photographed or spoken
Type the first letters and the app suggests items you bought before, with the store and the last price you paid. Photograph the receipt, printed at a Monoprix till or written by hand at the corner shop, and its lines fill the add form. Or hold + and say what you bought. Either way you check the form and tap Save, and nothing is recorded before that.
Receipt scanning
The store, the items and their amounts appear on the add form for you to check.
Voice entry
Hold + and say what you bought. The form opens filled in, and nothing is saved until you tap Save.
Home-screen widget
In the Android app, note a quick purchase from your home screen without opening the app.
Shopping list
Tick what you bought and the add form opens with those items. Check it, then save them together.
Built around a month in Tunisia
Much of the day-to-day is still paid in cash: the grocer on the corner, the weekly souk, bread on the way home. The bigger shop happens at Aziza, Magasin Général or Carrefour. Both go into the ledger the same way. You set the month's budget yourself, and Masareefy never suggests one. Once you record them, rent, the internet subscription, your mobile plan and your instalments are set aside from the first day of the month, and what remains is spread over its weeks.
Three pages go further: a monthly budget in Tunisian dinars with a worked example, instalments paid month by month, and receipt scanning in Tunisia. If you share your ledger with one other person, each new entry reaches their phone within moments, and you choose what they see.
Masareefy is free, and Premium adds more
Log your spending, follow your budget and your bills with a reminder on the day, set goals and a shopping list, and export your data whenever you like, free and with no payment card.
The free plan includes 5 receipt scans and 10 voice logs a month. Premium adds savings advice, sharing the ledger with a family member and higher limits, including 150 scans and 300 voice logs a month, and you subscribe in the Masareefy Android app.
Questions about tracking expenses in Tunisia
Is Masareefy free?
Yes. Logging, your budget, bills with reminders, a goal of each type, the shopping list and export are all free, with no payment card. The free plan also includes 5 receipt scans and 10 voice logs a month. Premium adds savings advice, a family member and higher limits, including 150 scans and 300 voice logs a month, and you subscribe in the Masareefy Android app.
Do I need to link my bank account?
No. Masareefy connects to no bank, card or wallet and never asks for a bank login. You record what you spend, and each wallet's balance is the figure you state.
Can I note a purchase without internet?
Yes, once the app has been opened online for the first time. Expenses you type offline are sent when the connection returns.
Can my wife or husband record in the same ledger?
Yes. One other person can share your ledger and record purchases in it. You alone set the budget and income and choose what they see, and new entries reach the other phone within moments.
