Bills and instalments in the Masareefy app

Plans compared by amount, payments left and end date

Masareefy compares your plans on three things only: how much is still owed, how many payments remain and when each one should end. This month's payment is set aside from the first day, so the week it falls in is ready for it.

A reminder on the due day

It arrives on the due day itself, at the hour you choose. Mark the payment Paid or Skip.

Set aside from day one

Each payment due this month comes out of the budget before your weekly figure is worked out.

An estimated end date

See when each plan should finish. A skipped payment moves that date one period later.

What households in Tunisia pay in parts

A private school billed every month of the school year, a fridge the shop lets you pay for in six payments, money you are handing back to a relative bit by bit: each one is a plan with its payment amount, its due day, how many payments it has and how many are already paid. Masareefy shows the payments left, the amount still owed and an estimated end date.

Say the fridge is six payments of 300 TND with two paid: four remain, 1,200 TND still owed. The school is nine months at 250 TND, with the first one paid: eight remain, 2,000 TND still owed. "Still owed on installments" then shows 3,200 TND, and 550 TND is set aside from this month's budget. The app knows only what you enter; it connects to no shop, school or bank. For the rest of the month's spending, see the expense tracker for Tunisia.

Questions about instalments in Tunisia

Is Masareefy free?

Yes. Logging, your budget, bills with reminders, a goal of each type, the shopping list and export are all free, with no payment card. The free plan also includes 5 receipt scans and 10 voice logs a month. Premium adds savings advice, a family member and higher limits, including 150 scans and 300 voice logs a month, and you subscribe in the Masareefy Android app.

How do I record a plan?

Enter the payment amount, its due day, how many payments the plan has and how many are already paid. The app works out the payments left, the amount still owed and an estimated end date, and sets this month's payment aside from the first day.

Do I need internet to follow my instalments?

Partly. After a first online open you can mark a due payment Paid or Skip offline; adding a new plan needs a connection.

When does the reminder arrive?

On the due day itself, at the hour you chose. You then mark the payment Paid or Skip.
