The calculation runs on your device; nothing you type is sent anywhere.
This is an estimate, not legal advice. The figure to rely on is the one on your payslip and in your insurance record.
How the calculator works
- A private-sector worker's share is 11% of the subscription wage: 9% for old age, disability and death, 1% for the end-of-service reward scheme and 1% for sickness insurance. The employer pays its own share on top.
- The subscription wage is no less than EGP 2,700 and no more than EGP 16,700 a month during 2026. If your wage is under the minimum, the contribution is worked on the minimum; if it is over the maximum, on the maximum only.
A hypothetical example: a wage of EGP 12,000 falls between the limits, so EGP 1,320 is deducted. A wage of EGP 25,000 contributes on EGP 16,700, so EGP 1,837 is deducted.
The limits change every January
The law's executive regulations raise the minimum and maximum by 15% each 1 January for seven years, then by inflation, rounded up to the nearest hundred pounds. So the figures on this page are for 2026, and we update them when the National Organization for Social Insurance announces the next year's.
Questions people ask
Is the deduction worked on my whole gross pay?
It is worked on the subscription wage as the law defines it, within the two limits. If your pay includes excluded items, ask your employer for your registered subscription wage.
What is the difference between my share and the employer's?
Your 11% is deducted from your wage; the employer pays its share from its own funds to the insurance organization, and it never appears as a deduction on your payslip.
Does the rate itself change?
The law raises the old-age, disability and death contribution by 1% every seven years from its start, split equally between employer and worker. We will update the calculator when that applies.
To split what reaches you after the deduction, use the 50/30/20 calculator. In Masareefy you enter your take-home pay as monthly income, and the app shows each day what is left to spend.
