This is an estimate, not legal advice. The figure to rely on is the one on your payslip and in your Corporation account.
How the calculator works
- 7.5% is deducted from the insured person's wage: 6.5% for old age, disability and death, and 1% for unemployment insurance. The employer pays its own share on top, including all of work-injury and maternity insurance.
- The highest wage contributions are worked on is JD 3,733 a month for 2026, indexed to inflation each January. For someone insured before 15 October 2009, the ceiling is JD 5,000.
- The wage contributions are worked on is no lower than the minimum wage, JD 290 for 2025 to 2027.
A hypothetical example: a wage of JD 800 has JD 60 deducted, so JD 740 reaches its owner.
Questions people ask
Does the ceiling change every year?
Yes. The law indexes it to inflation each January: it was JD 3,668 in 2025 and is JD 3,733 in 2026.
I am young and work at a small firm. Is my share lower?
A 2024 regulation reduces old-age contributions at small and medium firms for people under thirty covered for the first time. Ask your employer or the Corporation whether it applies to you; the calculator does not apply it.
Is anything deducted from my wage for work-injury insurance?
No. Work-injury and maternity insurance are paid by the employer alone.
